Mark and Ros

The bride, aka Rosabelle Lara Castillo, aka Ros or Ross, aka Obey, aka Ate, aka harassed lady on the 16th and 17th floors is the eldest offspring of Benigno Castillo and Isabelita Lara.

She once fielded her share of crazy stalkers and weird phone conversations that went all night. She was an uptight, cry-baby who conquered her fear of strangers by choosing a degree broadcasting.

Someone once commented (in a job interview!) that she is too serious, asking her if she was like that all the time. For people who don’t know her, the answer would be yes. For those who are close to her, they know the truth. Beneath that veneer of sophistication and wise-beyond-her-years aura is a mind that is constantly going whether with conversations with herself or with imaginary friends.

Ros was sailing through life with an eye on maintaining a high grade point average while still getting her own recommended daily dose of television. Until her cellphone (a Nokia 5110!) beeped signaling the arrival of a fateful text message…

Six Steps of Separation (According to Mark)

1. We both were baptized at OLMMP in Proj. 4.

2. She lives in Camerino Street, Proj. 4 while I spent my early childhood in J. Ocampo also in Proj. 4.

3. We both studied in UP. She in Diliman, me in Los Baños.

4. Her blocmate used to be the “bestfriend” of my younger brother in Marist School.

5. Her cousin is a friend of my fraternity brothers.

6. What eventually bridged the gap was a common “weird” friend.
