Mark and Ros

We were kinda busy last weekend going around for our preparations. Even though we were registered for the bridal fair at Blue Leaf, we decided to give it a pass to finish the agenda we have been going over for the past few weeks.

Saturday found us heading to Robert Camba’s office a couple of blocks from our house in Project 4. We got there in time to see the food being laid out for the food tasting that they conduct at the office every weekend.

We got to talking with Ms. Neneng who has fans within the w@wie ranks and she was very helpful in deatiling and explaining the packages to us. Right off, we were served iced tea by the waiter preparing the food and althroughout our stay at the office, he was very solicitous and was constantly refilling our glasses.

So I was talking to Ruby last Saturday during a lull in the activity. She’s one of the few who knows that there is something big happening next September. With just barely a year away, she mentioned that I should be booking the church already.

She’s even more agitated than I am!

The thing is, the church that I am eyeing is our neighborhood church. I am very adamant to get OLMMP due to sentimental and practical reasons.

Both Mark and I were baptized and confirmed at that parish.  We usually attend Sunday mass together at the church.

Getting married there will continue a tradition and will be less hassle to complete the requirements. Also, our current parish priest, Father Arnel, is in the process of renovating parts of the church making it more “photogenic”. That’s the icing on the cake.

I’ll be inquiring with the parish some time within the week. Ruby rattled me enough to really think that it’s crunch time.

Bagay naman di ba?

I didn’t expect that planning a wedding starting with looking for suppliers will immerse me into a whole different world.

They have their own language with the GFTs, h2b, HMU, and the like. Instead of dealing with choices that equal the number of fingers on one hand, I’m sifting through hundreds of fliers and brochures. My head is spinning with all the information that I’m getting from different sources.

It was actually enough to make me contemplate on simply just eloping.

For the lost:
* GFT – grand food tasting
* h2b – husband-to-be
* HMU – hair and make up

To go to the bridal fairs, that is. We actually went to one a few months ago. There is another on September 6th and 7th. Before that, another caterer is doing food tasting on August 29.

We have a little over a year to go  but I want to get cracking on this already. I never thought I’ll be as excited about planning a wedding as I am right now!
